"Do You Love Me" by the CONTOURS was one of the many good time, racous dance tunes popular in the early 60's. The song was a hit twice for the group, once during it's initial release and again in the 1980's when the song was included in the soundtrack to the movie DIRTY DANCING........Dirty dancing is what so many dance craze records were about and the CONTOURS were one of the best purveyors of that phenomenom.........With songwring help from the GREASY CHICKEN man himself, ANDRE WILLIAMS, the songs & delivery are strictly good time R&B...........
Dance With The Contours is an expansion of a planned but never-issued 1964 album by the all-singing, all-shouting, all-dancing sextet. Of the 26 tracks featured, only two of them are previously released.
All tracks are mastered from transfers of the original Motown ¼ inch tapes and all are presented exactly how you would have heard them almost half a century ago.............................
