Sonny Green followed the familiar path from Louisiana to California and became a popular performer in Los Angeles in the 60's till the present day. His recordings for Matt Hill (ZZ's brother) in the late 60's were in the Bobby Bland, Johnnie Taylor mold with strong lyrics & impressive production values courtesy of long time producer MILES GRAYSON. This is Sonny's first full length effort and benefits from the magic touch of KID ANDERSEN turning the knobs and the solid musicianship he attracts. Covers of songs popularized by Little Milton, Bobby Bland, Syl Johnson & Ted Taylor sit comfortably with some Rick Estrin originals...........
