If for no other reason than his recording of "RADAR" for the GROOVE label in 1956, Teddy McRae has an amazing pedigree as an artist. In the 20's & 30's, he worked in the bands of Stuff Smith, Lil Armstrong, Chick Webb & Artie Shaw. In the 40's he worked with Cab Calloway, Jimmy Lunceford & was musical director for Louis Armstrong. In the 50's he recorded for many of the best R&B labels including KING & RCA/GROOVE. This 27 track release is the first & only collection of his recorded legacy & is highly entertaining.........
