EARL PALMER was one of the prime inventors/architects of Rock & Roll and was one of the most prolific studio musicians of all time. After playing on just about every hit of any note recorded in New Orleans during the early/mid-50s, he relocated to the West Coast in 1957, where he became a member of the Wrecking Crew. He didn’t cut many records of his own but his two LPs, “Drumsville!” (1961) and “Percolator Twist” (1962), have become major collectors’ items. He also cut two late 1950s singles, ‘Johnny’s House Party’ and ‘Drum Village’, which appear as bonus tracks.
