To my ears the PRADO BLUES BAND is one of the best things to happen in contemporary blues in a long time....Strong musicianship together with solid songs make all their releases something special. Each release has a flavor to it that is unique to that release....the early releases have a swing/jump feel while WATCH ME MOVE from a couple years ago is solidly in the Snooks Eaglin school of ecclecticism......On their latest the focus is on Memphis soul grooves with a strong blues back beat......Once again the playing is superb and the guests add more than just their name to the proceedings.....Tia Carroll is a revelation to my ears and Curtis Salgado is soulful and assured.....Sax Gordon adds the right amount of grease to make this skillet sizzle!!!.....A BLUEBEAT FAVORITE!!!!..........
