A wonderful natural drummer & great low down harp player, Smith tackles some lesser know Chicago recordings from the early days, ably supported by a cast of journeyman players who stay in the groove as an ensemble rather than showboating their respective talents. James Cotton is exceptional as well as guitarists Billy Flynn & Bob Margolin. If you like straight ahead Chicago blues....this is it!!!!!
