The Butterfield Band were a fixture at the Fillmore during this time with Bill Graham commenting "without Paul, I don't know if a lot of us would be here today". The band was part of the incredible lineups Graham would present during these early days with different styles colliding onstage to the cheers of the audience. This performance, recorded within a year of their groundbreaking first LP features the band in amazing form with Butterfield's vocal & harp dominating the songs and Mike Bloomfield's guitar screaming alongside but never overpowering the performance. Elvin Bishop gets a vocal on Percy Mayfield's "Baby Please" too......
