This set features him playing on sides from Russell Jacquet, Howard McGhee, Ernie Andrews, Dinah Washington, Lionel Hampton, Oscar Pettiford, Charlie Parker, Quincy Jones & Duke Ellington as well as early studio bands of his own, many in a R&B setting.
