This collection features recordings from 1959-60 in Los Angeles by Sonny Terry, Brownie Mc Ghee & Lightnin' Hopkins (originally called "Down South Summit Meeting on the WORLD PACIFIC LP) and recordings from 1968 in London by Big Joe Williams & his 9 string guitar. Much of this music harks back to the folk blues era of the early 60's in style & sound, but it has these artists performing at the height of their skills and retains a warm, personal rapport between them....something that went missing between them just a few years later.
