This is one of the BEST releases of 2003. A powerful, soulful cd with strong vocals, strong material and great authentic production values. Walker has had a long career as an R&B vocalist and his material has always been a reflection of the producers vision. This cd, produced by Fred James, nails the sound of Memphis/Muscle Shoals soul to a T. The CD was so good, I went back to his earlier releases which I was indifferent to and listened again....not the same!!! Almost all the songs are originals penned by Walker or James with a tasteful cover from the Dan Penn/Spooner Oldham songbook. IT DOES NOT GET MUCH BETTER THAN THIS .................1.
